Constitution Day, also known as Sanvidhan Divas, is celebrated in India in honour of Dr.B.R. Ambedkar. The day when India was no longer under the hegemony of the Britishers drafted its constitution.
On this day in 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, and it went into effect on 26 January 1950. The day ’26 November’ was chosen to spread the importance of the constitution and to spread thoughts and ideas of ‘Dr. B.R Ambedkar’ known as the architect of our Constitution.
Let’s join hands to safeguard our ‘Constitution’ . It forms the basic edifice in the nation building process and it spells out the rights and duties of the citizens of a country.
